Summer 2024 is here, and that means Groove Cruise 2025 is less than half a year away!
We’ve announced the ship, destination, and lineup… What’s left? The themes, of course! Captains, we know you guys love these. We teased our themes a couple of weeks ago, and now it's finally time to reveal them!
On GC, we have eight themes throughout our voyage. Yep, that's right, we change themes (and decor, too) twice a day, and you also get to change your costumes twice a day!
Of course, dressing up is totally optional, but we highly recommend it!
The way we see it, festivals are THE place to be yourself. It’s the perfect chance to wear whatever makes you feel like YOU.
At a festival, you have the sweet freedom to dress in a way that isn't always possible in everyday life. You can express yourself as wildly as you want, there are no rules. The more out there the better!
Dressing up is also the core of rave culture. It goes waaay back, too! It all began in the late 80s when the rave scene started to take off in the UK.
Dressing up is a big part of the Groove Cruise experience. When we change themes, we also change our decor to create a whole new experience. It’s kind of like we teleport you to another world. Wearing something that matches the theme can help make you feel a little more immersed in each new world.
It’s also a big part of Groove Cruise culture. Normal clothes? What’s that?! If it’s your first festival cruise, you’ll soon notice on board that we Groove Cruisers take our outfits very seriously! A lot of work goes into putting them together, and you'll probably be amazed at how detailed some are.
Coming to Groove Cruise by yourself? Costumes make great conversation starters! An easy way to break the ice is to compliment someone on theirs.
Go all out but remember to keep it comfortable. Wear the platforms, but don't forget to pack some flats. You'll be on your feet a lot! It’s hot AF during the day, and then at night temps drop. Bring a sweater or hoodie if you get cold easily.
Before packing your costumes, try them on and pack each one with its accessories. This will save you a lot of time and mental energy whenever you change.
Thursday - REPRESENT
The voyage kicks off with our annual theme, Represent. Wear anything that represents YOU! Some ideas are your sports team, country, or favorite hobby. Virgin attendees wear white!
Friday - 50 SHADES OF CANDYLAND
On Friday morning, The Allure transforms into 50 Shades of Candyland. Put a sexy spin on your favorite candy! Get inspiration from the classic board game or any sweet treat like cupcakes or chocolate-covered cherries.
Saturday - TROPIC LIKE IT'S HOT
Saturday we’ll be hitting up Falmouth, Jamaica so a tropical theme is definitely in order. Bring your best island style - think coconuts, flamingos, or flowers!
Sunday - NEON SPLASH
Let’s get Sunday Funday started with a neon bang. It’s time to bring out the classic rave gear. Wear your brightest neon and shine brighter than the sun!
