Whet Foundation believes in making a positive impact through various initiatives including, Destination Donation, Mental Health Awareness, Celebration of Life, Community Captains, and Ocean Conservation. Through Destination Donation, Whet Foundation gives back to the destinations visited by Whet Travel clients, providing essential items to underprivileged children. Whet Foundation prioritizes Mental health awareness, offering uplifting sessions for those in the music industry. Celebration of Life is where loved ones no longer with us are celebrated and participants have the opportunity to share their story. The Community Captains program identifies student leaders, fostering personal development and entrepreneurial spirit. Lastly, Whet Foundation is dedicated to ocean conservation, organizing immersive events to raise awareness and support research efforts.

VISIT WHET FOUNDATIONJoin Whet Foundation in supporting Second Mile Haiti, an organization that provides immediate nutritional support to save childrenās lives, and educate the childās caregiver to prevent malnutrition relapse. Due to the current situation in the south of Haiti, supplies are limited putting pregnant women at risk for anemia due to food scarcity, and leaving families without baby items needed for their newborns.The Whet Foundation team will be shipping donations to support Second Mile in averting life-threatening complications. We're actively gathering monetary donations to fulfill the requested aid for individuals facing hardships in Haiti. We kindly request all donations be submitted by June 1, 2024.

HELP PROVIDE URGENT AID HEREAbout Destination Donation: Whet Foundation Destination Donation initiative strives to positively affect deserving children in the destinations in which the clients of Whet Travel visit, providing essential items to underprivileged children. Each Groove Cruise, the Whet Foundation organizes a Destination Donation trip to visit underprivileged children in underprivileged areas aiming to make a tangible difference in each and every one of their lives. Captains (Groove Cruise Attendees) are asked to bring essential items to donate such as school supplies, clothing, and other items generally for orphanages, schools, or a local charity. Many of the volunteers rate their Whet Foundation Destination Donation experience as the highlight of their cruise. Sign Up Here to VolunteerCelebration of Life will be hosted to celebrate our loved ones no longer with us. The celebration consist of a biodegradable wreath and biodegradable note cards, where participants have the opportunity to share their story, write a message to their loved ones and put their message in the wreath to be thrown overboard. In many cultures the ocean is one of the primary factors that made life possible on earth. Sending off the departed into the ocean symbolizes the end of physical life and the beginning of spiritual rebirth.
With the written notes to loved ones, this allows all present to participate and share in this moving experience. It symbolizes a farewell and an opportunity for closure and healing.
We will provide further information regarding the timing of the Celebration of Life event as we approach the sailing date.
Ā Each year, we collaborate with a mental health organization to carefully curate enriching artist-hosted panels and workshops for our captains. These sessions focus on fostering balance, identifying symptoms, meditation, and other helpful tools, including the practice of journaling. Our overarching objective is to foster a supportive, compassionate, and interconnected community. Stay tuned for additional details coming soon.
